I think what you are finding is that it pays to have a longer driving record and to live in the U.S. (at least for this)! I live in VA and have the same coverage as Max for about $150 a year through USAA and it's the only vehicle I have on that policy since they don't count cycles in "multi-vehicle" discounts. I have a very clean driving record - no accidents or tickets for 5 plus years.
However I've only been riding 2 years and I'm 31. My rate actually wet down a little from year 1 to year 2 because I had no accidents. Maybe by the time I'm 40 I'll be ahead of everybody else!
